Extended Story
Teri’s origin has always been a mystery. She wasn’t even a year old when she showed up on the doorstep of an older couple, who had lost their son when he was an infant. They decided to give parenthood another chance as they adopted the child as their own. She grew to a quiet young girl, agile and exploratory, using the treehouse built for her ill-fated half-brother as a second home. She spent a great deal of her childhood in isolation, perfectly content with her calm life as she watched the world from atop her house on the hill.
Julie entered her life a few years into school. The outcast girl was always curious of the lives of others, spying on a world she felt she had been pushed away from. When she discovered her classmate Teri had the ability to hide what made her special, but chose not to, the docile Julie became jealous, and strived to figure out what would make someone so comfortable with being cast out by others as she had been. What ensued was the asocial Julie confronting the strange Teri, who wasn’t phased by this odd girl joining her at her home to ask her random questions. Over time, an unexpected friendship bubbled up between the two, who began to learn so much about each other when they had no one else to turn to.
Sometime near the end of their high school years, Teri disappeared, and remained absent for five years. Julie moved on to college, where she met a boy named Shaun, who helped mend her broken social life by introducing her to his friends, and eventually becoming romantically involved. Heartbroken, the now adult Julie began to feel her life turning itself around, just before an unbelievable incident rocked her world.
Teri reappeared, dragging the confused Julie to safety, only to find the quiet college girl had an enormous bounty placed on her head. She had been accused of the murder of someone she didn’t know, and the thirst of the striving bounty-hunting scene made her abnormally high pricetag all too tempting. Teri protected her friend even in spite of her prior strange disappearance, eventually guiding her to the protection of a punk gang leader known as Mistress. It was only later that Teri gave an explanation: the horror stories of people with strange powers, like themselves, being possessed by crazed demons had gotten to her, and she could not bear the thought of hurting the person she had become so close to. Eventually the friendship healed, and Teri became partners with the small gang leader, who almost instantly fell in love with the tall, dark and handsome woman.
Sometime after their lives had relatively settled down, the protective duo, with the curious Julie in tow, were called to investigate a strange disturbance in their town. When they discovered the ruckus was caused by a tear in space in time, later discovered to be RED DISC, the trio was awestruck. Julie’s investigative nature got the better of her, as did Teri’s close watch, leading the pair a tad too near the bewildering imagery. In a flash, the two were gone, leaving a shocked punk rocker standing all alone, her love yanked from her world in the blink of an eye.
Lost in an unknown world, and having little on their minds but getting back home, the two rush out to find something similar to what brought them here, only able to hope it could take them back to those who are waiting dearly for them.

Concept
Teri was a protagonist introduced much later in the Project Lucid lifespan, serving to replace a removed sister character of Julie’s named Toni. She was initially a much more happy and supportive character, though developed to be much different over time. Her personality is more stoic, with the story revolving more about how unusual of an acquaintance she makes.
Trivia
- Part of Teri’s backstory was inspired by Coyori’s origin in Battle Fantasia, and part of her design was inspired by Kamui of Arcana Heart
- Her initial conception was one of a few from Project Lucid who were parodies of anime tropes. Teri’s being the perky Cat Girl.
