Extended Story
A famous detective on Universe V’s Earth, Ikue made a name for herself for being an efficient and quick-working detective, committed to stopping injustice wherever she saw it. Shortly after the Knuckle Busters tournament organized by the A-GEB of the Mechanis, Ikue began her own personal investigation into the strange objects known as RED DISCS, which the mysterious Gravitas Olympia had also been studying. During her investigation, however, a strange portal appeared that sent her through universes and time, transporting her back to Universe JNS during the 21st century. Now she seeks to find her way back to Universe V, while also uncovering the true intentions of her being in a different Universe, in a different time.
“I will get to the bottom of this. I’m not the world’s best detective for nothing.”

Concept
Ikue was originally designed for a fighting game between Vee and Janis called Knuckle Busters, which features an all female cast. When the concept of guest characters was brought up, Ikue was the first thought on both Janis and Vee’s minds for a character from that game idea. Ikue herself was originally intended to be a footsies based, SamSho-esque character in Knuckle Busters, being one of the main characters. Given the system differences between KB and Battle Craze, it seems she may play differently than envisioned.
Trivia
- Ikue’s name is taken from both the late President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, and Pikachu’s voice actress, Ikue Otani.
- Her design was heavily inspired by Rosa from Kizuna Encounter, even down to several of her moves being based on Rosa’s techniques.
- Coincidentally, her birthday falls on the day that the Tanabata festival in Japan begins.
