Extended Story
Y'ro is one of the descendants of the Destn'd family, a Middle Eastern-based bloodline with inherit skill over arcane magic. Such abilities include the manipulation of time and space, and with such power, the family has made an oath to never use such power for treason or chaotic needs. Also as a precaution to ward off those who wish to usurp their power or rid the Destn'ds, they must use an alternative surname. Currently, only two families don't follow this rule, which includes Y'ro's. His father, I'timad Destn'd, uses his status as a Destn'd kin to garner a vast amount of wealth and take risk in stocks with large corporations such as Daioh Co. and BioCorps. For his petty greed, and lack of empathy toward him and his choices, Boundary had left his custody to live on his own, but he felt he could be doing much more with his time to help those who need it, unlike his father.
Y'ro, after some time, had thought to help the people of his homeland using his innate powers, but knew the risks behind merely bearing the Destn'd bloodline. With this, Y'ro donned a costume to shield their visage from on-lookers, that donned the motifs of the Eye of Horus, the one that watches all. Known in this persona as Boundary, a reference to his ability to warp between dimensions and alter the fabric of space, he frequents the night to stop crime hidden under the moon, and begin investigations to those who haven't received justice from officials. He would do this continuously in the night, travelling from his home in Egypt across the Red Sea and back again. It was exhausting work, but as long as everyone was given their dues, Boundary was content.
One night, when darting ontop the Pakistan rooftops, Boundary overhears a conversation being held by two eldery women. Such a conversation only caught Boundary's ear as they mention a disastrous event about to occur in France, at the Battle Craze finals, with only a scoff and not so much as worry or panic in their tone. It could have been fake news, but Boundary hears the name 'Ajit Sinha' being dropped. He had heard of him once as a kid who can predict the future in his dreams from a news report once. If Boundary can find Ajit, he might have credibility to this story. He sets his sights on investigating Battle Craze, to tether the story of the doomsday Ajit has seen.
"It's not much of a lead, but everything has a tether. I'll find the source, and thus, the rest will follow."

Unique Trait | |||
Portal Magic | Boundary can summon a portal with his Craze Technique. After a portal is placed, Boundary can perform certain specials that use the portal, either to detonate it, or warp to it. Using any Craze Cancel will set up a portal safely if there isn't one currently set up. | ||
Input | Move Name | Description | Dire Counter |
Craze Technique | |||
SP+SK | Portal Set | Places a portal. The placement of the portal depends on the input of the directional stick. Inputting Portal Set again will replace the current portal.
The portal spawns in the air, it spawns closer or further to him if you hold left or right, and it spawns closer to the floor if you hold down. You can do this move in the air too. The inputs work the same as they do standing. | |
Throws | |||
LP+LK | De-Facer | Boundary thrusts his knee into the opponent’s face three times before a final knee kicks them away. | |
b.LP+LK | Parallel Suplex | Boundary grabs the opponent and falls back through the floor and around again for a warping suplex. | |
j.LP+LK | Descent | Boundary grabs the opponent and flips around for an izuna drop. | |
Command Normals | |||
3SK | Sidewinder | A sliding kick that hits low. | Stagger |
Specials | |||
22P/K | Portal Distort | A short burst of energy from the ground. Button strength determines distance from Boundary. You can hold down the button used to perform this move to delay it. | Crumple |
623K | Vertical Swing | An upwards swinging kick. Boundary moves a bit forward and stays on the ground when doing this. Allows for short juggles without a Dire Counter. | Spinout |
214LP (AA) | Portal Implode | Boundary will cause a set up portal to explode with energy. If no portal is set up, Boundary will look confused. | Power Launch |
214SP (AA) | Vacuum Implode | Boundary will ignite a set up portal. The portal sucks in the opponent closer to it for a few seconds.. | |
214LK | Journey of Ra | Boundary will teleport to a set portal. You can act out of this teleport to attack the opponent with a normal or a grab. | |
214SK | Revenge of Horus | Boundary will teleport to a set portal, and upon his exit, dash with a flying kick, whose direction is determined by your directional input. If a portal is close to the floor, Boundary will perform Sidewinder instead of a flying kick. | Too Many to List |
All-Out Attacks | |||
236236P | Soulless Journey | An elbow strike. If hits, Boundary will dive into a portal and infinitely dive through parallel portals until finishing off by slamming into the floor with Boundary on top. | |
236236K | Fallen Heroes | Boundary’s only good wakeup option. A rising kick into another one that makes Boundary dive into a portal, before flying horizontally and skidding on the floor. | |
All-Out EX | |||
22LK+SK | Down the Parapets | An unblockable floor grab. Boundary causes a sarcophagus to open up from the earth. If the opponent stands in it, they’re pulled in, and Boundary follows in his own portal before performing the second half of Soulless Journey. You can alter where the sarcophagus pops out of the ground with 4 or 6. | |
All-Out Destruction | |||
2141236LP+SP | Field Corruption | Boundary sets off a wave of Pillar Distorts. If any of them hit, the shadows engulf the background, with Boundary rising from the darkness to deliver the final blow. |
Side-L Changes
Unique Trait | |||
---|---|---|---|
Crown of Aten | Set up portals retain their distance from Boundary when he moves. (e.g, a portal created above his head will stay at that position above him no matter where he goes, until it is consumed) | ||
Craze Technique | |||
SP+SK | Portal Set/Fall of Atenism | Works the same way as Side-C, but the portals summoned are stuck to Boundary’s current position. Pressing SP+SK again will move the portal onto the opponent, instead being fixed on their position, not yours. | |
Input | Move Name | Description | Dire Counter |
New Specials | |||
623K | Area Field | Boundary surrounds himself in energy. An attack that generally defends himself from almost all melee attacks or projectiles. LP is small, and hits once. SP is bigger and hits multiple times. | Spinout |
New All-Out EX | |||
236236LP+SP | Soulless Journey EX | Causes groundbounce at the end. | Groundbounce |

Concept
Boundary's concept as a space-warping hero hasn't changed much since conception. His general design has stayed consistent, but with tweaks to show off a bit more of his arcane side, and then some detail inspired by art of the ancient Egyptian gods, specifically Horus. His ties to arcane magic and his last name, Destn'd, are tied to another OC of Janis, Yeva Destn'd, previously Yor Destn'd.
Trivia
- Boundary's birthday, April 20th, references the month where Sham Ennessim is held, an Egyptian spring festival, and 420, a holiday celebrating cannabis culture.
- Boundary is a trans man.
- Boundary's middle name, Mastour, means "hidden", or "covered", which references his tendency to warp between portals and his activity at night.
